Oy Comptel Ab, Software Engineer
The assignments included user interface and software design, and implementation of HPY's billing system. Work was done in a PC environment using SASBase and SAS/AF tools.

Work consisted of designing and implementing an Intelligent Network Management system in Java.

Sonera SmartTrust, Security Analyst
The assignment was to provide technical know-how and direction to the development efforts in SmartTrust. The job included consulting other employees in security issues (varying from cryptography to physical security), product evaluations regarding engineering practices, participating in designing of next generation products, and prototyping potential designs.

SSH Communications Security, Senior Engineer, Technical Services, Team Leader
The assignment was to provide technical support and services of a highly technical nature, including training, to SSH IPSEC Toolkit customers worldwide. I started at 2001 as second line support person and after a year I was promoted to team leader of SSH's IPSEC Toolkit support team (6 persons).

As second line technical support engineer I provided e-mail support and call conferences to SSH's customers assisting them in resolving problems with, installing and utilising SSH's IPSEC Toolkit software on varying Windows and UNIX platforms.

As team leader I was responsible for coordinating the team of 6 support engineers. The tasks included resource allocation and supervising that customer issues are solved in a timely fashion.

I was also heavily involved in testing our IPSEC Toolkit products as well as other vendors' IPSec products.

My tasks also included leading a project of installing and taking to use new support system to SSH.

17.11.2003 - 1.9.2004
SafeNet Finland, Technical Services Manager
SSH's OEM business was sold to SafeNet in November 2003. I was transferred to lead SafeNet Finland's support team.

I managed the team of 3 support engineers. My responsibilities included resource allocation and ensuring that customer issues are solved in a timely fahion.

My tasks also included defining support processes and practises for the SafeNet Finland, leading a project of installing and taking to use new support system, and establising co-operation channels with other SafeNet offices.

1.9.2004 - 23.3.2006
SafeNet Finland, Software Quality Assurance Manager
The assignment was to lead the Software Quality Assurance tasks and manage the team of 1 engineer in Helsinki, Finland and 3 engineers in New Delhi, India.

My tasks also included defining testing processes and practises for the SafeNet Finland and India, building automated test benches, leading a Quality Council workgroup, and participating in defining and taking into use software development processes and practises. My tasks also included hands-on testing.

Professional Skills and Interests

Good knowledge of security issues varying from cryptography (IKE, IPSec, symmetric and asymmetric cryptography, PKI etc.) to physical security. I am also familiar with X.509, PKCS, P1363, and P1363a standards.

Experience of programming with different programming languages and paradigms, like C, C++, Java, Perl, SQL, LDAP.

Knowledge of operating systems (especially UNIX), networking (especially TCP/IP), hardware and computer architecture, usability and user interfaces and a variety of system and application topics, including but not limited to programming languages.

I am familiar with software engineering and project management issues, and project working in general. I am strongly motivated and eager to learn more, and can work both independently and in a team.
